Scorepesa bookmaker review

We calculated the margin for Scorepesa by analysing the odds they offer. We further ranked them in one of the following three categories:

From 1% to 5%: Good value

Over 5% to 7%: Average value

Over 7% to 10%: Poor value

We’re getting our results by taking into account the odds for final result outcomes measured in line with the total goals scored for different football leagues. By getting the average results using this method, we were able to obtain the margins for each league and also the overall betting margin for the bookmaker.

Scorepesa has an overall average margin of 4.30% for football and falls in the good value category. In the first section using odds from the English Premier League, the margin is at 4.36%. The second section with Spanish La Liga and Italian Serie A, has a margin of 4.25%. Finally, by counting the English Football League One, Austrian Bundesliga and Polish Ekstraklasa, the margin is at 4.31%.

Scorepesa is relatively new in Kenya that's still finding their feet in the business. Their inexperience is mirrored in the limited number of sports they offer. 

Range of Sports: The few number of sports in their menu could be a deterrent that keeps punters away from the platform. Hence, they need to look into it and provide more sports.

However, if you are a punter that cares less about other sports and has eyes on popular sports alone, then you have no cause to worry. As at the time of this review, Scorepesa only offers five different sports and they include football, tennis, basketball, rugby and cricket.

If you are a virtual freak, you would definitely love this platform as they have provided a broad selection of such games to pick from.

Casino lovers may not be happy with this platform though, given how excluded casino games are from the platform.

The user interface is very simple. It is also quite difficult to navigate, especially on the homepage. Also, the site looks too basic and needs some extra elements to make it up to standard. The colour themes army green, gold and white contributes to the overall dull outlook of the site.

Range of Bets and Markets: While it is agreed that sports selection is not all that matters, it is more pertinent for there to be provision of a wide range of betting options. It’s a known fact that punters look out for that more than any other thing.

Scorepesa seem to be uninformed about how important betting options are to attracting users to the platform and the scarce options provided is proof. It is even more worrisome that across all sport categories, the betting options are so limited.

For football, there are just about 60 betting options available for most matches. This is a very small figure when compared to other betting platforms in Kenya that offer more than 200 betting options per football event. In this case, punters are left with the more popular options like "Straight win", "Double chance" and "Both teams to score" to mention a few.

The drought in betting options is more severe in basketball and the rest of the sports except football. There are about 6 options only to bet on for the majority of the matches there.

The bookie should do better regarding this. Failure to do so will cost them a lot of customers and will put them out of business in no distant time.

Betting limits: The amounts that can be placed on a bet should be enough for most bettors in Scorepesa. Like is most of the times the case though, the limits are getting chopped when it comes to betting on lower leagues.

We have rated Scorepesa's live as bad, but actually it's nonexistent, so we might not rate it at all but we need to do so. This way, we stress out how we were left stunned actually, as it's been a while since we last found a sportsbook to miss a live section altogether.
